ESE Launches a 4.44 MW CHP in Ust-Labinsk
Ust-Labinsk, December 16, 2016 – The Russia’s largest independent power company ESE launched a 4.44 MW Combined Heat Plant on the eve of the Day of Energy Industry Worker in the city of Ust-Labinsk, Krasnodar territory.
The plant includes three gas reciprocating units burning natural gas and was built by the EuroSibEnergo’s engineering division EuroSibEnergo-Engineering. The up-to-date equipment, proprietary engineering solutions and special-purpose software make the plant more than 87% efficient, which means that it is one of the most efficient projects in the Russian energy industry. The plant uses a modern gas treatment system minimizing its impact on the environment.
ESE invested RUB249 mln (US$4 mln) in the project.
The mini-CHP will supply energy to the residents of the “Kuban” industrial park that is currently under construction. A gas-concrete block manufacturer and the “Kuban” meat processing facility will be the first consumers. As new companies join the industrial park, the CHP’s capacity will be extended to reach 16 MW eventually, according to the ESE’s plan.
CEO of EuroSibEnergo, Vyacheslav Solomin commented:
“The CHP in Ust-Labinsk was constructed as the EuroSibEnergo’s pilot project to decentralize generation. We were able to use the state-of-the-art efficient technologies, original engineering solutions and the free access to power networks to propose a competitive price to our consumers, which will provide substantial saving for them. Distributed generation, without any doubt, will be actively developing in Russia, and we plan to use the experience we gained in Ust-Labinsk to implement more projects”.
